11Alive flew over Cagle's Family Farm this week to see their annual corn maze design, which features the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children's logo this year. While at the farm, enjoy a farm tour, hayrides, gem mining, a 3-mile corn maze of twists and turns, and much more. The fun begins August 31-November 11 and a portion of sales during Labor Day weekend benefit the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children. Posted on 8/29/12

The Cherokee Tribune featured a story on how Cagle's Family Farm has teamed up with the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children for their fall fun at the farm. Cagle's Family Farm originally came to be involved with the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children through their support of young Ana Hardt (watch the video that aired on 11Alive) back in February 2012. This time they decided to support the organization by donating a portion of ticket proceeds from Labor Day Weekend to the foundation as well as feature the foundation's logo in this year's fall corn maze design. Posted on 8/28/12

Bob and Robin Dixon sat down with Atlanta & Company to talk about the upcoming 1st Annual Collins Dixon Bend Your Knees 5K & 1 mile Fun Run in memory of Collins Dixon on July 14th.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children.  For more information about the event, visit bendyourknees.org. Catherine Rowan recently celebrated her 6th birthday by hosting a blood drive at her community pool. With support from neighbors, friends and family, Catherine's birthday event gathered 35 pints of blood for the American Red Cross. 15-year-old Kylie Harris plays field hockey for the Special Olympics, she loves to bake cookies, and she is a two time brain tumor survivor. Her hometown paper, The Covington News, recently published Kylie's story of how she has beaten the odds and her strong determination to live life to the fullest. Posted on 6.17.11

     

  

Watch a recent video posted on CNN.com highlighting the Fifth Annual A Taste of Hope event hosted by Treza and Eddie Johnson on May 15th at the Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta, GA.  Attendees of the event enjoyed sampling food from many local restaurants, a silent auction, live jazz music, and a fashion show featuring BTFC kids. Posted on 6.1.11

     

   

5-year-old Calla Kennedy along with eight other brain tumor survivors and families met Governor Nathan Deal on May 2nd at the State Capital, where he signed a Proclamation officially observing May as National Brain Tumor Awareness Month.    "The Games of Their Lives," a story of enormous strength and tenacity on the part of two individuals to achieve their final dreams, appeared in the December 14, 2009 issue of Sports Illustrated Magazine. One of those individuals was Marin Morrison, a beautiful young lady we at BTFC had the privilege to meet back in 2005. It's a wonderfully inspiring article about two amazing people, and, having recently been made aware of it, we were compelled to share it here.  Posted 10.14.10.
     
       

   

We are very sad to report the passing of Trisha Rushing Duguay, the 27-year-old bride who was diagnosed with a brain tumor on her wedding day and whose story drew a great deal of response and concern in Atlanta and beyond. Read the article appearing online in the Atlanta-Journal Constitution on 9.24.10.  Our heart goes out to Trisha's husband Jim and her family. And we greatly appreciate all donations to BTFC that have been made in Trisha's name. Posted 9.24.10.

  Henry Cermak was an outstanding young boy who lost his battle to a brain tumor in September of 2008 at the age of 12.  Read about what his parents are doing in Henry's memory to make a difference for other kids.  Posted 9/9/10.
     

  Faith Cline was an extraordinary young woman who valiantly battled a brainstem tumor until her passing on Tuesday, August 24,2010.  Read the inspiring and touching story of her wish to graduate high school that came true and watch the video clip about her amazing and courageous journey as well as a feature article in the Marietta Daily News the day after her death.  Faith will be greatly missed.  Posted 9/9/10.
