Sponsors and Friends

We could never accomplish our important work at the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children without the support of our generous sponsors and other organizations that do so much for us.  While it would be impossible to list the sponsors of all our events here, the following are companies who are top sponsors of our fundraising events as well as groups and organizations that support BTFC in important ways:

As the Title sponsor of the "J. Smith Lanier & Co. Charity Classic to Benefit the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children" since 2005, J. Smith Lanier & Co. has done more for BTFC than any other single organization, taking BTFC's annual golf tournament to an entirely new level.  In addition to their significant financial commitment, J. Smith Lanier & Co. has introduced dozens of new sponsors to the event, some of whom have gone on to support the Foundation in ways even beyond the JSL Charity Classic.  Further, JSL's willingness to donate hundreds of hours per year on the part of their employees to plan and coordinate the event is indicative of this company's strong philanthropic ideals.  The Brain Tumor Foundation for Children cherishes the partnership that exists between our organization and J. Smith Lanier & Co.

Pursley Lowery Meeks LLP has been the top sponsor of BTFC's "Flight of the Butterflies" fundraiser since 2005.  This event gives the Foundation an opportunity to bring donors and friends together in an elegant setting to recognize and honor those who have made outstanding contributions to our cause.  We are ever grateful to the partners at Pursley Lowery Meeks for their continued generous support.

Since 2001, The Newsletter Factory has donated 100 percent of their design costs to make our newsletter - the Butterfly Bulletin - look great.  We are so grateful to our friends at The Newsletter Factory for their continued support and expertise.

"SkaterAid was started in 2005 to celebrate the life of Ian Wochatz.  A Decatur teen and avid skateboarder, Ian was diagnosed with an especially virulent type of brain cancer, and died on July 4, 2005 at age 15.  SkaterAid provided a place for all those who loved Ian to honor his memory in a way he would have approved of...with music, friends and skateboarding."

In 2007 and 2008, proceeds from SkaterAid - totaling $30,512.74 - were donated to the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children.  We are extremely appreciative of everyone connected with this awesome event and look forward to again being the recipient of proceeds from SkaterAid on September 27, 2009.  Visit SkaterAid.net to learn more!

Holiday fun abounds every year thanks to the generosity of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – Atlanta .  Since 1985 NAIFA-Atlanta has provided an annual afternoon of awe-inspiring holiday memories for BTFC families complete with clowns, crafts, games, new toys and more.  All who attend fully enjoy this great party as the start of the joyous holiday season.

"Founded in 2007 by friends and family of Cooper Benjamin, this non-profit organization was formed to support the ongoing needs of families through education and support..."  Our friends at Cooper's Garden have donated a part of the proceeds of their annual Tee Off for Cooper golf tournament to the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children's Butterfly Fund since 2007.  This great group also sponsors other BTFC events such as "Flight of the Butterflies."  We are indebted to Cooper's Garden for partnering with us at BTFC to help children with brain tumors.

  North Perimeter Optimist Club

Since 2003 our friends at the North Perimeter Optimist Club have supported the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children with generous financial contributions, as well as invitations for our BTFC families to various Club-sponsored activities.  This group is a wonderful Community Partner to BTFC and other deserving local organizations.

Marietta

 BassMasters

Each June since 2000, the Marietta BassMasters Fishing Club has hosted a "Fishing Extravaganza" for children and families served by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children on an idyllic private property setting in Loganville, Georgia.  This event has become a highlight of the year for our families, and, in fact, some families even plan their vacations around it.  Click here to learn more about this generous and caring organization.

Blue Ridge Chapter of the Antique &
Classic Boating Society
and Southeastern Outboarders

These two wonderful organizations have hosted an annual "Boating Bonanza" on Lake Oconee each fall for BTFC families since 2002.  Complete with excursions around the lake in beautiful classic wooden boats, a picnic lunch, and great friendship, this is an event enjoyed by all and not to be missed!
